Nebraska Wrote Its Filing Fees Into the Statute
Honest registered agent representation in Nebraska for $99/year. Includes the address used on filings, same-day scanning of legal mail, and reminders for state deadlines.
Two admissions before any argument. NE Registered Agent.org publishes this page and would like to be your Nebraska agent for $99 a year. And nothing below will tell you what Inc Authority charges in year two, because that figure is not public and manufacturing one would be worse than leaving the space empty.
A State That Puts Prices in Its Law
Most states park their filing fees on a schedule that an office can revise between website updates. Nebraska went further. Neb. Rev. Stat. § 21-192 sets the fees for filings made under the Nebraska Uniform Limited Liability Company Act at thirty dollars for a filing submitted in writing and twenty-five dollars for one submitted electronically, with the certificate that creates the company carrying its own higher figure.
Those numbers are in the law itself. Anyone can read them today and know what Nebraska intends to charge for a change of agent in 2031, subject only to the legislature deciding otherwise in public. It is an unusually complete kind of disclosure, and it happens to be the exact standard this page is about to apply to a vendor.
What Inc Authority Publishes
Buy a formation package from Inc Authority and a full year of registered agent service comes attached at no charge. There is no catch buried in it, and the timing is genuinely helpful, since a company in its opening months has less cash on hand than it ever will again. Credit given without qualification.
Year two is where the record stops. A July 2026 pass across the company's public pricing material closed without a renewal figure to record, so the cell in our roster stays empty rather than filled with a guess. We will not estimate the number and we will not characterize it. Prices left off a website in this industry usually become visible only once a buyer has gone far enough to be asked for a card or a phone number, but that describes how the market behaves rather than anything we have established about this particular business, and it should be weighed at that lower value.
The Size of the Hidden Figure Is Not the Problem
Ready when you are. Ordering takes about five minutes.
Order HereNebraska wants an agent listed on the public record in every year your LLC continues to exist. Not the first year. Every year. So the arrangement being offered is a recurring commitment with one of its two prices withheld from you at the moment of decision.
That holds whether the eventual renewal turns out to be $79 or $299. What is wrong here is how the disclosure has been shaped, not how big the number behind it happens to be.
| Figure | Where you can read it |
|---|---|
| LLC act filings, $30 in writing / $25 electronic | Neb. Rev. Stat. § 21-192 |
| Report window, January 1 to April 1, odd years | Secretary of State reporting guidance |
| Inc Authority, first year | Their site: $0 with a formation package |
| Inc Authority, second year | Not published |
| NE Registered Agent.org, every year | This page: $99 |
Our Second Year, Printed Above
Ninety-nine dollars, identical to our first, and it covers a Nebraska street address on your public filings, everything served on us scanned that same business day, portal access to the archive, and a nudge before the odd-year report window opens on January 1.
And a limit on our own bragging: $90 a year is BetterLegal's advertised rate, so the bottom of the published range is not ours. What we hold is a position near it, with both years in print where you can check them.
Inc Authority to Us: The Nebraska Paperwork
Moving the appointment takes one change statement, which the Nebraska Secretary of State receives through its Business Services Division at $25 by the electronic channel with a modest portal charge on top, or $30 on paper. The fields and the order to work through them are set out on our change of agent page.
The sequence is the part to respect. Your replacement should be appointed and ready before the statement is filed, because Nebraska keeps the existing agent on the record until the new filing is processed. Handled that way, the change is a clean handoff on a single date rather than an interval when no one is authorized to receive a summons for your company.
Fill the Blank Before You Owe It
Ready when you are. Ordering takes about five minutes.
Order HereIf a free first year is running out, the useful move is to make Inc Authority put the renewal price in an email before the card gets charged. Any figure they send then lands beside two you already hold: $99 a year here, and $25 for Nebraska to record a change of agent. Putting yourself in that position costs nothing at all.
