Two Agent Renewals for Every Nebraska Report

Honest registered agent representation in Nebraska for $99/year. Includes the address used on filings, same-day scanning of legal mail, and reminders for state deadlines.

Full disclosure in the opening line: this page is the work of NE Registered Agent.org, a Nebraska agent service charging $99 a year, so we profit if it persuades you. The ZenBusiness figures below came out of a July 2026 pricing check and are printed the way we found them.

Credit First, and It Goes to the Interface

ZenBusiness builds the most pleasant software in this corner of the industry. Signup moves quickly, the dashboard makes sense on first sight even if you have never dealt with a state filing office, and compliance dates sit where a busy owner will actually notice them. If a polished account area is part of what you want from an agent provider, they have earned the compliment.

What we sell is deliberately narrower. One Nebraska address, one scanning desk, one figure that appears on every invoice.

Two Prices, and Only One of Them Comes Back

Bought on its own, ZenBusiness agent service opens at $99 plus state fees. It renews at $199.

The renewal is the number that describes your actual relationship with the company. Nebraska expects a named agent on the record for every year your LLC exists, so the opening rate covers a single season of what is usually a long arrangement.

Here is the wrinkle a Nebraska owner should hold onto. This state does not ask its LLCs for an annual report. It asks for a biennial one, in odd-numbered years only, delivered between January 1 and April 1, at $25 through the electronic route once a small portal charge is added, or $30 submitted in writing. The schedule lives in Neb. Rev. Stat. § 21-125(b), and your formation date settles nothing except which odd year comes first.

Agent billing does not honor that rhythm. Between one Nebraska report and the next, a ZenBusiness renewal notice arrives twice. So the fair comparison is not one year against one year. It is one report cycle against one report cycle.

Stretch it across a decade and the arithmetic gets plain. Ten years on the Nebraska register costs $99 once and $199 nine times with ZenBusiness, which is $1,890. The same decade with us is ten payments of $99, or $990. Nebraska itself collects $125 across those ten years, five reports at the electronic rate.

Cheapest in Nebraska is not a claim we own. The lowest published figure we could verify belongs to BetterLegal, at $90 annually, which lands nine dollars beneath ours. We sit just above that floor and stay there through every renewal.

Replacing ZenBusiness on Your Nebraska Record

Nebraska routes agent changes through a single statement, handled by the Business Services Division inside the Secretary of State's office. Electronic submission runs $25 with a small portal fee attached; a written one runs $30. Do not go looking for a form number, because this state does not number its business forms. One habit worth dropping if you arrived from elsewhere: the biennial report cannot carry an agent change, so the statement is required whatever the calendar happens to say. Our change of agent walkthrough covers the fields.

Sequence beats speed here. Have the incoming agent signed up before the statement goes in, and your record moves from one named agent straight to the next without an uncovered day in between. ZenBusiness stays the official contact until the filing posts, which is exactly what you want. Close the renewal after the record flips, never before.

What the $99 Covers

  • Our Nebraska street address carried on the public file, so yours never has to be
  • Anything a process server delivers gets imaged and sent to you before that day closes
  • A warning ahead of the odd-year window, timed to your particular first report year
  • Portal access to everything we have ever received on your behalf
  • A renewal notice that reads $99, this year and every year after

Whatever a first-year price suggests, the number you will live with is the one printed on renewal notices, and for ZenBusiness that number is $199. Set it beside the $25 Nebraska charges to move the appointment somewhere else, and the switch has paid for itself long before the next report window opens.
